What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? Although it may be true at a higher level, don’t you find it rather annoying to hear someone say that when you have just faced rejection? I do, mainly because there is nothing positive about rejection — or is there? Perhaps if we thought of it differently, we would embrace the lessons learned through rejection. Here are a few to consider:

Take a step back
Rejection forces us to take a pause and ask ourselves if we handled the situation properly. If we were given the opportunity for a do-over, would we handle it differently?
